MAPUSA: Cyprian Rodrigues’ brace powered Ucassaim Sports Club to a commanding 2-0 victory over YSC Colvale, in the GFA Third Division League, at the Moira ground, on Wednesday.
Ucassaim asserted their dominance early, maintaining relentless pressure on Colvale’s defense throughout the first half. The breakthrough came in the 38th minute when Salu Santos threaded a perfectly timed through ball into the box. Rodrigues latched onto it with finesse, delivering a thunderous half-volley to open the scoring.
The home side doubled their advantage just before the halftime whistle. In added time, Injmamul Khan delivered a precise cross into the penalty area. Rodrigues, in full control, chested the ball mid-air, effortlessly danced past the Colvale defenders, and coolly slotted it into the net.
