MAPUSA: Super Goans Football Club managed to edge past Arpora Sporting Club 2-1 in the Goa Football Association’s U-18 Division II League match played at Sirsaim ground, on Monday.
All the goals were scored in first session of play. In the 18th minute, Enron Mascarenhas put Super Goans FC ahead.
Just three minutes later, Super Goans FC’s hard-working medio skipper Joel Passoni pumped in second goal from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.
Arpora SC came back into the match from Joanathan Fernandes goal, 2-1.
Earlier, Dunes SC, Mandrem, registered a solitary goal win over St Christopher SC, Thivim. The all-important goal for the winners came in the first session of play from the boots of Adarsh Vasat.
