PANJIM: The Goa Football Association (GFA) has directed its affiliated clubs to submit the copy of the Statute/Constitution duly registered under the Societies Registration Act, i860 within 15 days from today.
GFA’s general secretary Lector Mascarenhas stated that in case the club is not registered then the clubs have been directed to submit a certificate of registration under the Societies Registration Act, I860 within three months from the receipt of GFA’s letter.
Lector clarified that as per Art. 16 (6) of GFA Statutes, every club has to submit to the association, the Statutes/Constitution, amendments of the Statutes/Constitution and regulations of the Active/Provisional members and to furnish minutes of their Annual General Body Meetings/Extra Ordinary General Body Meetings within a period of one month from the date of the meeting.
Lector said that on scrutiny of the club files, “it has been noticed that there are several clubs who have not submitted the Certificate of Registration under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Moreover, several clubs do not also submit the Minutes of the Annual General Bodv Meetings/Extra Ordinary General Body Meetings.”
It is learnt that the directive seeking the Society registration details was approved by the Executive Committee headed by president Caitano Fernandes at its meeting on July 7.
