GFDC eager to start centre at St Cruz

PANJIM: The Goa Football Development Council in association with Cabessa Sports and Cultural Club concluded their football coaching camp at St Cruz ground for over 120 kids from the age six to 14 recently.

Speaking at the closing ceremony Member Secretary of GFDC, Aleixo Da Costa urged children to make use of the coaching opportunities provided by GFDC and become future football stars of Goa. 
Chairman of GFDC, Dr Rufino Monteiro congratulated the club members, coaches, parents and especially trainees for training regularly for the football camp and urged to take Goan football to greater heights.
With a huge turn out and successful completion of the camp and that area producing good footballers in the years gone by, Dr Rufino urged the club and panchayat members present for the ceremony to initiate the process of opening a permanent GFDC centre and promised wholehearted support from GFDC. 
Among the dignitaries present were Savanna Araujo, ZP member, St. Cruz; Maria Rodrigues, Sarpanch, VP St Cruz; Ulhas Janu Naik, Ex Sarpanch and panch member VP St Cruz; Marianno De Araujo, President; Zezito Araujo, Secretary; Neville Araujo and Egidio Rodrigues, former Sesa Goa footballer.
