Goa Blind Cricket Association to celebrate Louis Braille day on January 4

MAPUSA: The Goa Blind Cricket Association in collaboration with GCA Goa had decided to celebrate Louis Braille day on January 4.

In this context, association will organise a Braille reading and writing competition which will be held on January 3, at Youth Hostel Peddem, Mapusa, at 8 p.m.

A cricket match will be organised at GCA ground Porvorim on January 4 which will commence at 9 a.m. followed by prize distribution function at 3.30 p.m. 

A special talk on Louis Braille and short documentary will be also screened.

The chief guest for this function will be Suraj Lotlikar, President- BCA and the function will be also attended by  Vipul Phadke, Secretary GCA, Purdon Monteiro, President-AIBCA (All India Blind Cricket Association), John David, Secretary – AlBCA, Milagres D’ Costa, President Blind welfare Association, Goa, Avelino, President- DRACK, Rossen Mendonca- National Association for the Blind (Goa Branch), MJF Lion Shashid Mendonca – Immediate Past Dist Governor and MJF Lion Gokuldas Nagvenkar- President-Lions Club Mapusa.
