AGENCIES, KANPUR: At the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, hosts Uttar Pradesh took the day’s honours after bowling out Goa for 152 and then by stumps wiping out that total at 153/1.
For UP, the bowling hero was Under-19 World Cup winner Shivam Mavi with 4/25 on first-class debut, his strikes running through Goa’s lower middle order and tail as their innings gave away from 66/5 to 115/8.
Darshan Misal made 43 to get the score to 152 before he was last out in the 36th over.
The only other Goa batsman to cross 19 was skipper Sagun Kamat with 41. Ankit Rajpoot and Yash Dayal took two wickets each to add to Goa’s shaky start and Saurabh Kumar also chipped in with a couple of wickets.
