FATORDA: Sporting Clube de Goa is all set to kick off their I-league 2015-16 campaign as they host Kolkata giants East Bengal at the Nehru Stadium, today, here, Margao. The kick off is 4 p.m.
The Sporting side has shaped up well and the unit is confident of a good show ahead of their season opener against the Red and Gold brigade.
“We have some of the most talented lads from Goa, who am sure can make the difference”, stated Head Coach of Sporting Clube de Goa, Mateus Costa.
He further said, “This squad has put up a formidable performance previously in the I-League ending it in style and then were unstoppable in the Goa Pro League. We look to carry forward the momentum.”
When quizzed about the slow start in the previous I-league Matues said “Yes, last year we did some mistakes early for which we had gone through the learning curve.
