PANJIM: Goa Cricket Association (GCA) will organise Goa Corporate League 2018 commencing from March 3 at the Goa Cricket Academy ground, Porvorim
The league will feature eight teams, divided in two groups, fighting for the title. The teams include Reliance One, Indian Oil Corporation, Air India and RBI in Group A while ONGC, D Y Patil, GMR Group and Goa Tuskers in Group B.
The opening match will be played on February 3 between Air India and RBI at 2 p.m.
Dr. Ketan Bhatikar Chairman GCL disclosed that many international players will participate in this tournament.
“Sadab Jakati will lead Goa Tuskers which is owned by Arvind Reddy from Bangalore’, he said.
Dr Vinod Metta Reddy, Neurosurgeon (UK), who is the face of the league, briefed about the Parkinson’s disease and his idea of spreading the awareness through the sport of cricket.
He mentioned how the Parkinson’s disease can be treated.
