PORVORIM: Goa scored another 320 runs on the second day to declare on 436 for the loss of six wickets against Sikkim in the Ranji Trophy (Plate Group) tie at the GCA Academy ground, in Porvorim on Tuesday.
At the end of play, Sikkim were 11 for no loss, trailing Goa by 289 runs.
Goa started the day with the score of 116 for 3 and it was captain Amit Verma and Snehal Kauthankar who shared the scoring amongst them with the latter reaching his half century before lunch. Amit Verma was on 97 at the lunch break.
Amit went on to score his century after lunch and succumbed when he was on 113 after having faced 192 balls. Snehal took over from where his captain had left and scored 134 from 239 balls. Suyash Prabhudesai who came in scored 91 from 98 balls. Darshan Misal was not out on 11 before Goa’s innings were declared.
Sikkim was 11 for no loss at the end of second days play.
