MPT football trials
VASCO (HR) –The Mormugao Port Sports Council will recruit football players on contract basis for the ensuing season 2010-11. Selection trials will be held from July 22 – 24, from 7.30a.m. at MPT ground, Baina, Vasco.
Players may report to MPSC team manager, Agnelo Fonseca or MPSC coach, Raymond Carvalho.
Trek to Parvad
PANJIM (HSD) – The Off Trail Adventure will organise a trek to Parvad on July 25. Participants will trek for 6 hours in total and will cover a distance of 14 km. Bus will leave from Mabai Hotel, Margao at 7 a.m. and Santa Monica cruise at 8 a.m. Details may be obtained from Bianca Dias on 9960054428.
Inter-school soccer at Duler
PANJIM (HSD) — The Anthonian’s Past Pupils Association, Duler, will organise their annual one-day 10th All-Goa U-17 inter- school Bro. Paulus Moritz (CMSF) football tournament (seven-a-side) on July 25 at St. Anthony’s High School ground, Duler, Mapuca from 9.15 a.m. Schools may contact the association at St Anthony’s High School, Duler, Mapusa or get information on 99603213010. Entry forms may be collected from the school office. The last date to submit forms is July 23.
Badminton tourney at Campal
PANJIM (HSD) – The Shuttler’s Club, Panjim will organise an All-Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament from July 26 – 28 July at indoor stadium, Campal, here. The events – Men and veterans 45+ (singles and doubles) and veterans 40+ singles. Those
interested may submit entries latest by July 24 to Roy Athaide (indoor stadium, Panjim/Mapusa), Vinayak Kamat(indoor stadium, Margao) or Oasis Petrol Pump, near Don Bosco High School, Panjim.
