Billiards tourney at Khorlim
PANJIM (HSD) – The first 8-ball billiards tournament organised by Susan and Loffee Sports Club will be held from April 29 to May 2 at Rashtroli Temple ground, Khorlim, Mapusa.
The winner will get a brand new pool table 8×4 feet while the runner-up will get Rs 15,000.
There will also be prizes for the losing semi-finalists and others.

National adventure selections
PANJIM (HSD) – The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs will organise State level selection trials to select participants for 235th National Adventure Programme (May 25-31 at Pachmari, MP) on April 28 at Youth Hostel, Mira Mar at 10 a.m.
In all, 25 boys and girls will be selected based on performance in trekking, boating, horse riding, rock climbing, rappelling, rifle shooting, pistol shooting, archery, skating. Those in 15-35 age group who can trek for 12-20 kms daily may report to Uday Navelkar, APEO at the venue with medical fitness report and certificates of achievements.
Kayak operators course
PANJIM (HSD) – The Goa Kayaking in association with Goa Tourism will hold a basic 2-day certificate course for commercial kayak operators (certified and trained kayaking operator) for those hiring or renting out kayaks/canoes at Palolem beach, Canacona on May 1-2 and May 7-8 from 7-10 a.m.
