PANJIM: Goa University defeated Solapur University 3-1 to book their berth in the qualifying round of West Zone inter-university football championship for men, at LNUPE, Gwalior.
Fredson Marshall put Goa University ahead in the 16th minute.
However, Sholapur University equalized in the 21st minute but Goa doubled their advantage in the 41st minute when Akshay Dhabolkar placed the ball neatly off a Clemy Dias assist. Clemy than scored the third goal.
