Goa excels in National combat martial art championship

VASCO:  Goa won the team championship at the 4th All India National Combat Martial art Wado-Ryu karate championship 2019 held at Bhayandar (E) district Thane, Maharashtra, recently. 
Chief instructor Sensei Suraj Paradkar and other three instructors Sensei Madhukar Ghogale, Sensei Prasad Korgaonkar, Sensei Mohammed Shabbir Khan in black belt category excelled in the championship.
Sensei Suraj Parakder won silver medal in Kata and gold medal in Kumite. 
Sensei Madhukar Ghogale clinched a gold medal in Kumite while Sensei Mohammed Shabbir Khan claimed a gold medal in Kumite.
More than 16 states participated and among all the states Combat Martial art Karate-Do Association Goa won the team championship with a lead of 81 medals which includes 28 gold medals, 24 silver medals, 29 bronze medals.
