Goa go down to Andhra Pradesh

MARGAO: Andhra Pradesh (AP)proved too good as they thrashed Goa by seven wickets in the under-19 Cooch Behar cricket tournament match, at BITS Pilani ground, Vasco, on Monday.

MARGAO: Andhra Pradesh (AP)proved too good as they thrashed Goa by seven wickets in the under-19 Cooch Behar cricket tournament match, at BITS Pilani ground, Vasco, on Monday.
Requiring 92 runs to win, Andhra achieved the score with seven wickets in hand.
Goa trailed by 234 runs in the second innings after follow-on.
Goa batsman Snehal Kauthankar (94 not out) and Samar Dubashi (73) put up a commendable 128 run partnership for the sixth wicket before being rounded off for 326.
Imandi Kartik Raman was the most successful bowler for Andhra Pradesh as he grabbed four wickets and was well supported by Manish Golamaru P Tejasvi, who picked up three and two wickets respectively.
Brief score: Andhra Pradesh, 1st inning 375 runs; Goa, 1st innings 140 runs, 2nd inning 326 in 150.5 overs; Andhra Pradesh, 2nd innings 94 for 3 in 17.3 overs (Karan Shinde 36, Ricky Bhui not out 17, Ashwin Hebbar not out 13 runs).
