BICHOLIM: National kabbadi referee and convener of Mitrapariwar Kabbadi Club Sanquelim, Deelip Kundaikar has demanded with the State government to give full authority to Sports Authority of Goa to look into the affairs of Goa Kabbadi Association (GKA) instead of handing over the matter to Amateur Kabbadi Federation of India (AKFI).
Talking to local reporters, Kundaikar told that (AKFI) has invited office bearers of GKA at New Delhi on December 27 to decide on which is the official association out of three existing associations including one headed by Dr Shekhar Salkar, second by Rukmini Kamat and third by Ramesh Desai.
He added that as per the Section 1860, SAG has the full right to solve the issue of GKA and hence it is not the responsibility of AKFI to look into the matter neither, the State government should not hand over the said matter to AKFI.
He has therefore demanded with the State government to give full authority to SAG to look into the affairs of GKA instead of handing over the issue to AKFI.
He has expressed the fear of kabbadi losing its existence from Goa if SAG does not handle this issue in a proper manner.
