Goa Police storm into Crown Volleyball finals

PANJIM: Goa Police got the better of KK Boys 3- 2 in the 1st semi-final of the all-Goa Crown floodlit volleyball tournament played on the Crown volleyball court, Santa Cruz.

PANJIM: Goa Police got the better of KK Boys  3- 2 in the 1st semi-final of the all-Goa Crown floodlit volleyball tournament played on the Crown volleyball court, Santa Cruz.
 In an exciting well contested match Goa police took the first set at 27 -25.
In the second set, KK Boys began with Bharat’s precision spiking and Aron’s power-packed smash won the second set for KK Boys at 25 – 17
In the 3rd set, Goa police came out with a faster game strategy. Rudresh and Polyo were too quick for the KK Boys block-line and smashed with power in open gaps to win the set for Goa Police 25- 14
In the 4th set, KK Boys slowed down the game with high lifts and deft placing which put the Goa Police on the backfoot. Aron excelled with powerful smashes and service as KK Boys won the match at 28- 26
In the final set, Goa Police came out all guns firing with Rudresh smashing with pin point accuracy. Goa Police won 15 – 11
The finals are now slated for the February 1 where Goa Police will now clash with winners of Crown Club and  Om Shiv Sambhu.
