MAPUSA: Goa Police Sports Club trounced BITS Pilani FC 8-0 in a GFA’s First Division League match at Duler stadium, here on Thursday.
Goa Police struck four goals in each session. Nishar Raham opened the floodgates in the 12th minute as his 20-yard stiff grounder hit the goalpost and entered in. They doubled the lead as Abdul Khan found Bhavesh Candolkar at the far end and the last named nodded the ball in. Nishar Raham netted his brace as his hot shot hit a defender and rolled in.
The fourth goal came as Goa Police defender Sidhart Naik sent a floater to Bhavesh Candolkar who placed the ball past the onrushing custodian Shashwat Goyal.
On crossing over, Nishar Raham completed his hat-trick. Abdul Khan netted a brace and Niraj D’Mello adding his name to the scorers list to complete the rout.
At Guirim ground, Dempo Juniors registered a 3-0 win over Goa Velha SC. Topan Minz netted a brace. Sairon Albuquerque accounted for the third goal for Dempo Juniors.
