PANJIM: Goa suffered a third successive defeat after losing by nine wickets to Delhi in the U-19 women’s T-20 Youth cricket tournament played in Hyderabad, on Tuesday.
At the Gymkhana ground, winning the toss and electing to bat first, Delhi bowlers restricted Goa to paltry 68-9 in the allotted 20 overs with only Harshita Yadav and Riya Naik scoring double figures runs. For Delhi, Puranika Sisodia was the most successful bowler took 4-15 while Riya Soni grabbed 2 wickets.
In reply, Delhi scored the required runs in 10.5 overs with 9 wickets in hand. Opener Upasana Yadav scored 42 in 41 balls with 6 hits to the fence while Sheta Sherawat scored unbeaten 23 runs.
