MAPUSA: Goa went ahead by 96 runs in their second innings against Himachal Pradesh (HP) on day two of KSCA Test cricket tournament match, in Bengaluru, on Saturday.
HP were gifted 18 runs by their opponents for slow over rate. HP resumed play on 73/1 and were fumbled out for 235, taking a 36 run lead.
Goa’s opening pair of Snehal Kauthankar (12) and Prathamesh Gawas (1) struggled to give their team a head star in the second innings. However, Skipper Sagun Kamat’s 46 not out and Reagan Pinto’s 63 of 97 balls saw Goa reach 132 for 5 at the end of 37.4 overs as stumps fell on day two.
