PANJIM: The Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association have selected the following Boys and Girls teams who will represent the State at the 23rd Junior National Tennis Ball Cricket championship to be held from February 6 to 9, at Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The teams were selected based on the performance in the pre-National coaching camp held from January 3 to February 2 at Campal and Cuncolim. The teams left from Goa on Thursday by train for the national championships.
The Boys team will be captained by Chitra Kotkeni and Vice-captained by Vishwas Kholkar. Kedar Zambaulikar, Akshay Jogle, Aniket Chodankar, Shramesh Gaonkar, Ulpat Shet, Pritesh Naik, Narendra Sale, Nehal Deshprabhu, Shambhu Pilarnkar, Gauresh Naik, Arjun Nepali and Bhavesh Naik.
Madhu Giri will captain the Girls side with Ankita Zambaulikar as the Vice-captain. Other players include Santoshi Patil, Pranita Korgaonkar, Kushvi Naik, Oshine Rao, Clency Fernandes, Mahima Harmalkar, Anjali Kamble, Pooja Dhavalikar, Shravani Kumbhar, Swapneja Naik, Sonali Borkar and Vidhi Naik.
