PANJIM: The Goa Table Tennis Team is currently participating in the UTT 82nd Senior National Table Tennis Championships which began on February 15, at Punchkula, Haryana.
Goa Men’s team is represented by Dheeraj Rai, Manish Yadav, Reagan Pinto and Diljeet Velingkar while the Ladies team is represented by Aditi Chodankar and Kefira Rodrigues.
The Nationals will witness a few novelties. It will be a singles-only event and held in a bio-secure environment. Sixteen, instead of the usual eight, women players will be seeded directly into the main draw. There will be no team championships or doubles events and, above all, it will be the ladies’ first who will open the proceedings.
