On Saturday, Goa won the toss and elected to field first as Himachal ended day-one on 248/8 in 93 over. They were bundled out for 267 in the 101.1 over as play resumed on Sunday.
Amulya Pandrekar was the star performer in the Goan bowling attack, picking up five wickets at an economy rate of 1.87, giving just 64 runs in the 34.1 overs bowled.
Lakshay Garg contributed with three wickets while V A Naik clinched two.
In reply, Goa started strongly with an 83 run opening partnership between Ishaan Gadekar (56) and Snehal Kauthankar (36) before they were dismissed.
Suyash Prabhudessai then continued the momentum and registered a hard-fought half century while Deepraj Gaonkar was sent back to the dressing room with a duck.
Kashayp Bakle (27 not out) and Samar Dubhashi (27 not out) are going strong for Goa as the day ended 208/4 in 80 overs.
