MAPUSA: Goa United scored a resound 5-1 win over St Dominic Savio SC, Calvim in the GFA’s U-16 Soccer Cup, played at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Tuesday.
At the breather, the teams were locked in a 1-1 draw.
Both the teams started brightly where it was Goa United who broke the deadlock in early moments of the match through Dominic Miranda who charged into the St Dominic Savio danger zone to tap the ball into the far corner of the goal.
St Dominic Savio did not wait for long and came with the equaliser through the boots of Jason Britto, who slotted home the ball from a close range.
Crossing over, Goa United took the field more aggressively and fired in four goals, with Dominic Miranda completing his hat-trick and Aaron Rodriguez and Brenson Rodriguez netting in one goal each.
