MAPUSA: Goa Velha Sports Club had an easy outing as they registered a fluent 3-1 win over Chapora Yuvak Sangh to enter into the quarter-finals of the Milagres Soccer Cup organised by Milagres Sports Club, at Duler Stadium, here on Saturday.
The visitors form Ilhas went into the breather with a one goal cushion as Arun Naik put his team ahead with a neat placement in the 30th minute of play.
On crossing over, Goa Velha pumped in two more goals in the 58th and 64th minute from the boots of Chatur Naik and Francis Fernandes who both scored from inside the penalty box to make it 3-0.
Chapora tried to get back into the match as their striker Saprem Diukar scored in the 70th minute with a power-packed right footer.
CDJ Ribandar will now take on Saligao Sporting Club in the quarter-final on June 26.
