PANJIM: Goan swimmers bagged two gold, two silver and three bronze medals in under-14 swimming competition at 59th National School Games held at Balewadi, Pune, Maharashtra, recently.
Suman Patil of Shri Ram Vidya Mandir School, Colvale, won gold in the girls 50mts freestyle and bronze in 50mts butterfly.
Jerry D’Mello of St. Britto’s High School, Mapusa, pocketed gold in the boys 50mts freestyle. Xavier D’Souza of St. Anthony High School, Monte Guirim, bagged silver in the 100mts backstroke.
Sachi Gramapadya of A. J. Almeida High School, Ponda won the bronze in the 200mts individual medley. The girls relay team consists of Sachi Gramapadya, Niam Laitao, Kiran Narvekar and Suman Patil bagged the gold in the 4x100mts freestyle and 4x100mts medley.
