MAPUSA: Goan Warriors FC registered a well deserved 2-0 win over Sinquerim SC in the GFA’s Girls U14 league played at Duler stadium here on Thursday.
Goan Warriors struck a goal in each session of play.
It was Vedha Niloji who was awarded the player of the match award opened the account for her team in the eighth minute of play with a neat placement to give his side the lead.
On crossing, over both the teams played almost on equal footing with the Sinquerim colts trying their best to find the equaliser. However, in the 46th minute, Rutika Arolkar netted the second goal for Goan Warriors to make it 2-0 from inside the penalty-box.
Laximan Hadfodkar-GFA’s Executive member presented player-of-the-award to Vedha Niloji and also to Angel Fernandes who had won the player-of-the-match award against Clube Sao Minguel de Taleigao.
