AGENCIES, IMPHAL: Goa’s Arjun Fallary and Lydia Barreto secured a bronze medal in Sub Junior U-17 Mixed Doubles event, at the Yonex-Sunrise All India Sub Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking badminton tournament, at Imphal, Manipur.
The fine run of the Goa pair who had knocked out top seeds Bhargav Rami Reddy Kakumanu / Vaishnavi Khadkekar and number 7 seeds Nikunj Pandey / Bhargavi K in previous matches came to an end as they bowed out fighting in the semi-finals.
They lost 15-21, 18-21 to Advit Bhargava / Navdha Manglam to settle for bronze.
