RAIA: Goa’s six boxers put up excellent show to clinch four medals and scholarships at the Southern India Open Talent Hunt Boxing Competition held at Bangalore, recently. Raunak of RCC SDM won a bronze in the juniors 55kg category, Ashok of SDM won a silver in men youth 51kg, Sameer of GHS, Porvorim, got a silver in Elite Men 51kg and Shagun Shinde now at IIS won a gold in the junior girls 51kg.
They also got scholarships from REC and will box in the REC All-India Finals at NCOE Rothak and if they secure a medal, will join the national camp.
