Goa’s Dayne makes clean sweep in RS:X Olympic class

DONA PAULA: 75 knots Regatta got off to a flying start on Thursday with a total of 70 sailors participating from all over the country in the RS:X Olympic Class, Raceboard, Techno 293, Laser 4.7, Laser Radial and 470.
Races started at 13:30 in light wind conditions of 7-8 knots which progressively increased to 12-13 knots as the races continued.
In the RS:X Olympic class Dayne Coelho of Goa took all 3 guns to prove his complete dominance despite a stiff challenge from Ebad Ali  and K Arjun Reddy of AYN. Dayne took the lead from the start and won all 3 races with a comfortable lead. Winning the gold in this championship will help Dayne to considerably climb up in the National Rankings.
In the Raceboard Men’s class Khorani Kishanbhai from AANC Orissa and Adarsh Chunekar in the Raceboard Juniors are Leading after 3 races.
In the Laser 4.7 Sanchita Pant of EMESA Hyderabad leads after 4 races ahead of Durga Prasad Erra and Vamshi Nanavath of NBSC, Goa.
While in the Laser Radial Santosh Banoth lead from Akash and Vishwanath Padidala all from NBSC, Goa.
In the 470 Olympic Class the team of AYN Mr. Ayaz Shaikh and Upkar Singh took the gun in the first race and were overall 1 st at the end of 4 races on day one ahead of Vignesh R. & Powan Raj M and PP Muthu and SC Singha all from AYN.
