PANJIM: The medal winners and contingent members of the Goa team that participated at the Khelo India Youth Games were felicitated at a function held at the Art & Culture Auditorium, Patto, recently.
They were felicitated by the Sports Minister Govind Gaude in the presenceof the Director Sports and Executive Director SAG Ajay Gaude.
The function was organised by Sports Authority of Goa and saw all the Goan Contingent medal winners, and the whole contingent of 68 athletes across 11 disciplines in attendance.
Cash prizes were awarded to the gold medal winners of Rs 10,000 while silver medal winners were awarded with Rs 7,000.
Merit certificates were also distributed to the participants of the contingent.
Also present at the function were SAG Director Administration Shankar Gaonkar, Coaching Director Bruno Coutinho, Asst. Director/Nodal Officer Khelo India Monica Lobo e Dourado and other dignitaries.
