Goa’s Tejas Nagvenkar first Indian Int’l referee to officiate ISL final

PANJIM: The Goa Football Association and GFA Referees and Assit Referees Committee’s FIFA Referee Tejas Nagvenkar officiated the Indian Super League final clash between Mumbai City FC and ATK Mohun Bagan held at Fatorda Stadium on Saturday. 

Tejas, became the first Indian International Referee to officiate in the final. Goa’s another — GFA and AIFF Match commissioner Goculdas Nagvenkar was appointed as the Match Commissioner for the same match.

GFA President Churchill Alemao congratulated Tejas and Goculdas for their achievement and setting an identity for Goan upcoming referees and match commissioners and said, “It’s a big achievement for our referees which will boost and motivate other referees in the State. I hope to see more Goan referees at the national and international platform.”

Greg D’Souza chairman of Referee Committee, Frankie Fernandes, Head of Referees Committee and Maurice Almeida vice-chairman also praised and congratulated Tejas.
