VILLA-MAREX CHANDOR: Gonvol got the better of Villa Marex 4- 2 to move into the quarter-finals of the 16th all Goa open Seamen football tournament, organised by Villa Marex Boys, Chandor and played at Villa Marex ground, Chandor on Thursday.
Gonvol netted the first goal of the match through Brevon Dias in the 8th minute. Seven minutes later, Vishal equalised for Villa Marex. However, Brevon made it 2-1 for Gonvol within minutes. Brevon Dias netted two more goals in a span of two minutes to make it 4-0 for Gonvol.
Later in the 46th and 50th minute Villa Marex netted through Sachin and Benjoe respectively to make it 2-4.
