PANJIM: PES College, Farmagudi defeated GVM’S College, Farmagudi 3-2 via the tie breaker to move into the next round of Goa University football championship for men at Goa University Football Ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Wednesday.
Both the team were locked in a goalless draw at the end of the regulation time.
In the resultant tie-breaker Anthony Colaco, Shubham Gaude and Prajyot Naik scored for PES College while Avalino Fernades and Harshad Naik were on the target for GVM’S, Farmagudi.
In another match Goa Enginering, Farmagudi edged past Goa Medical College, Bambilom 5-3 via the tie- breaker, after the score line read 1-1 at full time.
Prithviraj Dessai scored for GMC while Ezburn D’Souza leveled terms for GEC.
In the ensuing tie-breaker Verenkar Varun, Faras Dhanesh, Kalangutkar Harischandra and Ezburn D’Souza scored for GEC while Samuel Dias and Vishal Devidas were on mark for GMC.
Government College, Pernem defeated Government College, Sanquelim 5-3 via the tie-breaker.
Both the teams were leveled 1-1 at the end of the regulation time.
Suraj Kauthankar scored for Government College, Sanquelim in the 26th minutes while Rushikesh Mote pulled one back in 53rd mintues for Government College, Pernem.
In the tie-breaker Pratik Kannaik, Prathamesh Mote, Rushikesh Mote and Sattyam Gawas scored for Government College, Pernem while only Mohammed Hasan Khan and Uddesh Gawas score for Government College, Sanquelim.
