MARGAO: Government College Quepem and Shree Damodar college of Commerce, Margao emerged as the winners and runner-ups respectively at the All Goa inter-collegiate powerlifting championship organised G R Kare College of Law, Margao, recently.
The competition was held in 5 categories and 68 students from 15 colleges participated. Principal of the College Dr. Saba Da Silva along with HOD Pf.Goreti Morais inaugurated the championship. Andrew Gomes of DSYA was the Chief Judge assisted by Sanjay Raikar, Mahesh Kavlekar, Shaikh Mirja, Milton Andrade, Sourabh Raikar and Santosh Mhapsekar.
Ex Student of Kare Law College, PSI Amin Naik was the chief guest while Chairman of Sports Council of Vidya Vikas Mandal,Vikram Verlekar was a special invitee.
Prajwal Gunega won the Strongest Man title.
