CURCHOREM: The Guardian Angel High School, Curchorem, emerged champions in the State level Sepaktakraw U-14 girls category by defeating Vasant Vidyalaya, Siolim, 2-0 set, at Peddem ground, Mapusa, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, recently.
The girls team was represented by Valarie Peixoto, Seema Mulla, Vea Costa, Melini Pereira and Jencia Pais. The boys team of Guardian Angel was declared as runners-up as St Anthony High School, Monte-de-Guirim, defeated them with 2-1 set.
Meanwhile, in U-19 girls category, Sapteshwar Higher Secondary School, Mandrem, clinched the State title by defeating Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem, by 18-21 and 14-21 points.
