MARGAO: Favourites Guardian Angel Sports Club, Curchorem thrashed Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club, Paroda 5-0 in the Salcete Zone GFA Second Division league at SAG Ground, Assolna on Monday.
Guardian Angel led 2-0 at half time.
Valzino Fernandes (2), Slegan Gracias, Manesh Olveira and Seby Martins added their names to the impressive scorer list.
Valzino Fernandes was the hero of the match right from the start as he opened the scoring in the 36th minute of the game as the play maker Desmond Fernandes send a defence splitting pass inside the rival penalty box and the Valzino made no mistake in beating the rival goalkeeper Olten Fernandes hands down.

Post resumption, Guardian Angel continued to enjoy the lion share of exchanges and pushed their opponents. Manesh Olveira put the issue beyond doubt when he punished the rival goalkeeper off Melvito Fernandes cross.
