CURCHOREM: Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem defeated Chandrabhaga Tukoba Naik (CTN) Higher Secondary School, Curchorem by 10 wickets in the final of Zone IV Tennis ball girls cricket tournament, organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at SAG ground, Curchorem, on recently. They qualified for the district level.
CTN won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 29 runs in the allotted five overs. Akshata was their top scorer with 11 runs. Girls of Guardian Angel chased the score in 3.2 overs without losing any wicket. Pornima Shinde scored 19 runs with the partnership of Sushma.
Earlier, in the semi-finals Guardian Angel HSS defeated Shiroda HSS by 12 runs.
