ARLEM-RAIA: Guirdolim Club blanked Dicarpale Sports Club 4-0 to lift the 31st Arlem Rolling Trophy organised by Arlem Youth Association, at Raia panchayat ground, recently.
Dicarpale SC defender Jofren Gomes took a long range shot but failed to pop up into the Guirdolim net in the tenth minute. Later, Guirdolim started firing from all cylinders and netted through Saif Shaikh in the 35th minute.
Ten minutes later, Irfan Yadwad doubled the lead for Guirdolim.
A minute later, Irfan Yadwad netted his brace to make it 3-0 for Guirdolim.
With just a few minutes before the final whistle, Moises recorded his name on the scoresheet to make it 4-0 for Guirdolim.
The winners were awarded Rs 50,000 while the runners-up received Rs 30,000 plus trophies.
Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco MLA of Curtorim constituency was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners up in the presence of Domnic Gauncar ex-ZP member, Esmeralda Gomes, Sarpanch VP Raia, Mario D’Souza, Dy Sarpanch VP Raia, Anthony Pango Vice-President GFA, Cosme Oliveira, Welvin Menezes (GFA Executive members), Seby, other dignitaries and club officials.
