PANJIM: Harichandra Velip, Pavan Kumar and Vishwanath Balchandra Shetye won the 10 km all-Goa Marathon De Priol in the age group of below 35 years, 35 to 50 years and above 50 years category, respectively, organised by Saidurga Creation at Galwada-Priol, Ponda, recently.
Results: 10 km below 35 years: 1st place – Harichandra Velip, 2nd place – Uddesh Naik and 3rd place – Clavin Carvalho; 10 km 35 to 50 years: Pavan Kumar, Sandeep and Sudhan Mopkar; 10 km above 50 years: Vishwanath Balchandra Shetye, Shyam Kankonkar and Yeshwant Parab; 5 km gents: Akash Saroj, Pradyum Naik and Babu Gaonkar; 5 km ladies: Sapana Patel, Neha Gaonkar and Seeta S Gosavi; 2 km children upto 12 years: Rohan Shivprasad Gaude, Vighnesh Khedekar and Deepraj R Kerkar; 2 km children 13 to 15 years: Bhavesh Gaunekar, Kaushik Gaude and Loukit R Satarkar; 2 km chala pasay maruya (gents): Sanjay Gaude, Shlok Gaude and Damodar Naik; 2 km chala pasay maruya (married women): Savita Gaude, Vashika Gaude and Seul Raikar; 2 km chala pasay maruya (unmarried women): Manisha Deshmukh, Pranoli Gaude and Trisha Kankonkar.
A total of 600 participated in the Marathon. Sandip Nigalye (businessman and social worker), Sunil Bomkar (businessman and social worker), Damodar Naik (ZP), Dr Madhu Ghodhirekar (associate professor GMC, Bambolim), Trupti Tulsidas Naik (sarpanch Keri), Santosh Gaude, Rajdeep Naik (artist), Vishvajeet Naik (social worker), Mangaldas Priolkar (ex. sarpanch), along with the president Gauresh Gaude were present on and gave away the prizes.
