HC Arambol ground Sesa FA Juniors

MAPUSA: Holy Cross Sports Club, Arambol put up a spirited performance to ground Sesa Football Academy (Juniors) 2-0 in the GFA’s Second Division football league match, at Duler Stadium, here, on Monday.

Both the goals came in the first session. Seven minutes into the match, Arambol found themselves ahead as Hemant Rodrigues nodded in off a perfect cross from Amit Fernandes.
Sesa Football Academy were edgy in defence and their opponents exploited them yet again five minutes before the break. Jason Fernandes sent in a clever ball to Sylvester Dias inside the box as the Sesa keeper fumbled in his collection to see Sylvester slot the ball home, 2-0.
Post resumption, Sesa Football Academy tried hard. They looked for inspiration and goals but their rivals were compact in the back-four.
On Sunday, Valpoi FC thumped Youth Sports Club of Colvale 4-1.
