PANJIM: Holiday Sports Club, Arpora edged past Panchawadi United Sports Club 3-2 to move into the quarter-final of the Anjuna Gymkhana soccer cup, at Anjuna ground, on Tuesday.
It was Bovis Gawas who drew the first blood for Arpora in the very second minute through a neat placement. However, in the 10th minute, Panchawadi levelled terms through Alister Costa, 1-1.
As the match progressed, Saish Palyekar and Gauresh Mandrekar hammered two more goals to give Arpora a 3-1 lead at the breather.
On crossing over, Panchawadi managed to pull one goal through Samuel Godinho’s to make it 3-2.
