MAPUSA: Holiday Sports Club Arpora got the better of Saligao Sporting Club 2-0 to move ahead in the Hotel Goan Heritage Unit of Gulf Goans Soccer Cup, organized by Saligao Sporting Club, at Saligao ground, here, on Tuesday. Arpora went into the lemon break with a one goal lead.
Arpora scored in the 10th minute through Bavesh Gauns. Towards the fag end of the match Saligao were made to pay the price for committing a silly blunder, when Saligao defender held the ball assuming that it had rolled out for a goal-kick. Match referee Dharma awarded Arpora the penalty kick which was comfortably scored by Gauresh Naik.
