MARGAO: Dangerous Boys defeated Holy Cross Boys 6-4 via the tie-breaker to enter the final of the Sao Jose de Areal inter-ward football tournament, organized by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, on Saturday.
After a barren first half, Holy Cross Boys scored through Nevil Dias’ rasping shot off an assist by Richard Mascarenhas.
Thereafter, Dangerous Boys equalized through Shelton Dias’ free-kick in the 45th minute.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Dangerous Boys netted through Shelton Dias, Valeson Fernandes, Milton Viegas, Milton Fernandes and Sydney Dias while Holy Cross Boys converted through Richard Mascarenhas, Selwin Fernandes and Rencio Mascarenhas.
