RAIA: In an electrifying quarter-final, Holy Cross, Vaddie, overpowered Dados Boys, 3-0, in the tie-breaker to advance into the semi-finals of inter-ward football tournament organised by Cana-Benaulim Panchayat, at Vaddie ground, Benaulim, on Monday.
The first half saw Jayden and Ash dominate the midfield for Holy Cross. But their strikers squandered scoring chances. The second half was more balanced, with both the teams battling fiercely.

Dados Boys intensified their attacks in the final minutes, with Samuel and Kane pushing hard for a winner. However, Ashton’s rock-solid defence for Holy Cross kept the rivals at bay. The match ended in a draw, leading to a penalty shootout. Holy Cross’s Kayden, Maxwell and Sam found the net, while their keeper Vhelan heroically saved all three Dados Boys penalties.
