FATORDA: Holy Spirit Institute, Margao defeated Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School Verna 1-0 to bag the third place in the Salcete taluka U-17 Subroto Mukherjee Cup , at the Astro turf ground, Fatorda, on Friday .
In the 1st minute, Ashley Borges of Fr Agnel shot into the safe hands of Shivam Kalangutkar, keeper of Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit through Richard Carvalho netted the first goal of the match with a placement shot in the third minute.
Vieri Colaco tried a solo effort with his left footer but hit the rival side netting.
Holy Spirit had a barge of attacks which were thwarted by Fr Agnel defence line.
This best chance for Fr Agnel came in the 48th minute but Vieri Colaco shot above the Holy Spirit crossbar.
