PANJIM: Holy Spirit Institute, Margao thrashed Government High School Sadolxem, Canacona, 7-0 in a Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs U-14 football tournament district level semi-final match, at Cuncolim ground, on Tuesday.
Holy Spirit started with an attacking intent and kept their opponents under pressure. In the 5th minute, Arnold Oliveira opened the floodgates off an assist by Nathan Rodrigues. Few minutes later Oscar Braganza doubled the lead for the Margao side who capitalized on every chance that came their way.
Arnold scored two more goals in the 11th and 17th minute and completed his hat-trick for the day.Minutes later, Trestan Fernandes and Myron Fernandes added their names to the score sheet.
Crossing over, Holy Spirit continued their dominance and couple of minutes into the second half Oscar added the final goal to make it, 7-0.
Holy Spirit will play the South District level final, at Cuncolim ground, on Friday at 10 a.m.
