RAIA: Hosts Batora United entered the semi-finals defeating Eklate FC 6-4 via tie-breaker of 9-a-side football tournament organised by Batora United, at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Sunday.
The match started on a fast pace and both teams tried to find the back of the net. Batora United’s Edmon Dias scored in the 10th minute and Japal doubled the lead in 15th minute of play.
Eklate FC bounced back and found the equaliser before the half time through Aliston and Afileo in the 20th and 30th minute to remained 2-2 draw at half time.
The second half was played with same attacking mode but both teams failed to find the winning goal and remained 2-2draw till full time and made way for penalty shoot out to decide the winners.
In resultant tie-breaker, Batora United netted through Shown, Grandvill, Johnny and Edmon, while Eklate FC’s Joy and Aliston found the back of the net.
Bruno Lourenco presented the man-of-the-match to Caitano.
