MARGAO: Chennaiyin FC romped to a 4-0 win over Zico’s FC Goa as the Blues from Goa were annihilated at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa.
“I think we played as a team. We played well in defense also. Goa is very dangerous and they can finish any team in 20 minutes. We saw in both matches that they attack in the opening 20 minutes. We were well prepared today. Everyone contributed well; credit goes to the whole team. The coach (Materazzi) told us at the beginning of the game that everyone has to stick together and we did well. Thanks to Allah the result came,” said Wadoo.
The 31-year-old opined that it wasn’t the case of Chennaiyin’s defense being under pressure for having conceded four goals in the first two matches.
