CURCHOREM: Immaculate Conception High School, Avedem, Paroda, won the Quepem Taluka U-14 Football girls championship, defeating Pope John XXIII High School, Quepem, 2-0, via the tie- breaker on Thursday at Figueiredo ground, Curchorem. The event was organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. There was no score at the end of regulation time.
In the tie-breaker, Senika Dias and Plefa Fernandes scored for Immaculate Conception. Goalkeeper Richel Vissocar played her part, saving four attempts.
