Infant Jesus, Rosary in finals

Infant Jesus High School, Colva will meet Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda  in the final of Salcete Taluka Under-14 inter-school football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Government ground, Manora, Raia on Thursday.
Infant Jesus thrashed St Joseph Educational Institute, Chandor 4-1. They led 3-0 at half time.
The highlight of the day was a brilliant brace by Sneeden Rodrigues. Jesmon Baretto consolidated their position by slamming past the rival goalkeeper with a pot shot.
Crossing over, Infant Jesus’ Dylan Lourenco added his name on the scorers list while Maison Fernandes reduced the margin.
Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda  beat St Anthony’s High School, Majorda  1-0. The all-important goal came in the second session when Jesmol Soares unleashed a stiff shot which crashed into the far corner of the net.
